As a Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman, you will oversee and execute carpentry tasks on residential remodeling projects. You will manage a team of tradesmen, ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of carpentry work on assigned projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
- Manage and mentor a team of carpenters, assigning tasks, providing training, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, finish carpentry, and other tasks like sheetrock, paint, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets company standards and client expectations, performing quality checks throughout the project.
- Effectively communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Prioritize job site safety by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Assist in the development and implementation of project schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on the job site.
- Maintain accurate records of labor and material costs for each project.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction (2 or more trades).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
Compensation:
- Full - Time
- Competitive hourly rate of $24-$28/hr, based on experience.
